My Love for Comedy

I like different kinds of comedy. When I went to the senior center, they had the comedy improvisation groups. I found that enjoyable. They do different skits. And they run it so it becomes like a comedy. I don’t know how to explain those things so much. And then I found a lot of joy. We did the Fiddler on the Roof with the interns from NYU. It was enjoyable.

I never did it before and I didn’t think I would be able to do it. I thought at the beginning that I couldn’t do the whole thing. The end is, I was able to do the whole thing and I was looking to do more people’s skits, not just my own. I was practicing so much and it gave enjoyment to me.

The instructor runs different things. I don’t know how to explain it. You don’t come up with anything. She tells you or asks you a different prompt, like a situation that she gives you and then it’s one word, like one person says one word and another says another. Then there’s store, and then it keeps going the different things. She gives you like a situation where you’re on a boat or you’re on a plane with some other thing. Some of them I did perform because there wasn’t enough room, like the rabbi was an intern and they used the soldiers. They use a lot of the interns. And they were part of the village people and different things. They were part of the in between.

Right now I’m trying to play catch up with some of my DVRs. I’ve got thousands of different shows. And I got involved with coloring in and other things, and things online, puzzles and different things. It gives me some joy. It breaks up the day. They have solitaire and puzzles where you could do it online.
