For Thanksgiving, we would all spend it together and my mother would cook. I would help her cook, and set the table.

What I truly enjoy is helping people. Sometimes, I’ll see families in the street hurting each other or arguing, and I’ll feel sad about it and want to help. Not everyone would want my help, but many would appreciate my advice and listen to me. I was a 9-1-1 operator. Even now, when other residents go through periods of anxiety, I’ll go and help talk to them and calm them down. I speak both Spanish and Italian.
